Conventional Solution
Many applications require spanning a number of devices overlong distances. The device network used for these applications is often split multiple smaller individual network segments to comply with network limitations or to better accommodate the physical layout of the system. A separate processor is usually installed to control each network segment. An information type network is also added to connect these processors together to establish communication between them. Device from different network segments communicate to each other through the processor using additional programming. The configuration of devices is accomplished via a programming terminal that has to be connected directly to the local network that the device is on.

File Extension Sys

File Extension SYS stores system settings and variables used by the Windows and MS-DOS operating systems. The information is stored in plain text and is often understandable, i. e., PATH=C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32. Two other notable File Extension SYS files are config.sys and msdos.sys.

File extension SYS usually contain executable code for hardware device drivers (for example 1394bus.sys). File extension SYS contain a command to ask for running a certain device or a command that arrange other command in order their command will work in queue as the system should be run. Sys files run in the kernel-mode which is the highest possible privilege on Microsoft Windows systems. This means that errors in these files can cause great harm and data loss.

It is often possible to safely remove File Extension BAK as they are simply there as a backup of existing data. However, we do not recommend that you remove these files unless you are sure that it is safe to do so. Backups are redundant copies of some data, which are stored in a different location than original. Good backup practice is to use different physical media at a different physical storage location.

Backups are also created before executing complex operations that have high likelihood of failure. If some error occurs it is then possible to restore data to a previous consistent state and retry the opearation again.

BAK files can be opened only by the application that created them. Sometimes BAK file can be just copied over the original file by changing the file extension from BAK to the appropriate one. Such operations should only be executed by skilled professionals since changing file extensions can cause data errors and corruption.
